The Tindall Foundation has appointed WWF (Worldwide Fund for Nature) New Zealand as its Habitat Protection Fund and Environmental Education Fund, Funding Manager in the Programme Area, Caring for our Environment and Preserving Biodiversity.

 

The Habitat Protection Fund (HPF)

 

The purpose of the Fund is to encourage and promote the conservation of New Zealand's natural environment and provide funding for local habitat protection groups working to protect areas of high conservation significance in their community. 

 

Priority is given to projects that involve conservation of critical habitats and ecosystems, replanting of traditional species, enhancement of public education and awareness of conservation issues affecting native species and creation of employment opportunities for the community.
