The Tindall Foundation has appointed WWF (Worldwide Fund for Nature) New Zealand as its Environmental Education & Habitat Protection Fund, Funding Manager in the Programme Area, Caring for our Environment and Preserving Biodiversity.
The Environmental Education Fund (EE)
This nationwide fund aims to promote and support environmental action through education. Projects that are supported through the fund use education as a tool to take action for the environment. All New Zealand schools and community groups are eligible to apply.
Priority is given to projects which have clearly defined learning outcomes that address a specific environmental issue, facilitate/support/promote opportunities for people to take action for the environment, have sound project planning and evaluation processes, are supported by the community and/or enable teachers to deliver environmental education programmes as outlined in the Guidelines for Environmental Education in New Zealand Schools (Ministry of Education, 1999).
