Widening gaps between computer 'haves' and 'have nots' risk increased social problems and isolation of disadvantaged groups (e.g. rural, poor and uneducated). Some effort is being put in by government and others but gaps still exist, especially the seeking of innovative solutions and in partnerships that target high-need groups and areas.
The Tindall Foundation can play a small but key role as a catalyst by brokering and facilitating innovative ideas, partnerships and projects through networking, support and targeted funding for well-chosen initiatives that promote sustainability, ease of access for high-need groups and cross-community sharing of resources. The Foundation avoids funding large capital contributions for hardware or equipment.
All applications under this Strategy are made directly to the Foundation via online application.
