Community Foundations
Strategy Outline
The Tindall Foundation is committed in the medium-term to support a limited number of Community Foundations throughout New Zealand. They are seen to fill a place-based gap in the New Zealand generosity scene by providing donor services to people wanting to specifically support a local area or region rather than a particular cause. Each Community Foundation's long-term goal is to grow an endowment fund from which to distribute the proceeds to regional community groups and charities.
The Foundation's funding is linked to a set of 'milestones' each Community Foundation must attain. Support and monitoring services are also provided by the Foundation in the form of skilled consultants.
